1.  Annual CPE Banquet | Friday, May 19, 2017

2. Upcoming Wish Events

Wish 10 Year Anniversary Event!
Where: Building 65, Room 220
When: Saturday, May 6th 12pm-3pm
WISH is coming up on its 10 year anniversary and we want to celebrate it! This event will include lunch, a past WISH presidents panel, and the opportunity to talk to Cal Poly WISH alumni and current students. We would love as many alumni and current students to celebrate WISH's growth as a club over the past 10 years :) Hope to see you there!

3. Roborodentia

Roborodentia is Cal Poly's annual robotics competition.  This year, it will be held in the building 20 lobby (EE building) at 1pm this Saturday (4/22).

4. C# and .NET Developers Internship

Process Expert (www.pro-xprt.com) is looking for 2-3 skilled C# and .NET Developers to help design and maintain the RFID/barcode inventory management systems that we develop for our clients. The ideal candidates are self-motivated junior CSC, CPE, or EE students with excellent software skills. In addition, the candidates should have good communications skills, and desire to gain experience providing technical support for customers.  During the academic year these positions require 10-20 hours of work per week, at flexible times, and depending on project needs. Full-time summer internships are available.
Familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) desktop application development, MVVM architectural pattern, Caliburn.Micro framework, ASP.NET MVC, Web API server development, REST APIs, Entity Framework ORM (code-first) and SQL Server databases, and SignalR real-time messaging is advantageous. 
Process Expert is a collaboration-oriented high-tech company. We develop innovative radio frequency identification (RFID) hardware and software solutions. Our clients include small, privately owned companies, and large, publicly owned corporations.
We work with organizations to analyze processes and determine the best methods to resolve issues and improve performance. 5. AIAS Foundation Scholarship Application

• The Randy Pausch Scholarship, which awards $2,500 scholarships, supports students pursuing careers in the development of interactive entertainment, including art, animation, programming, engineering, game design, sound design, and music composition. 

• The Mark Beaumont Scholarship, which awards $2,500 scholarships, supports students pursuing careers specializing in the business of interactive entertainment, including management, law, marketing, public relations, and business development. 

• The WomenIn Scholarship, which awards $2,500 scholarships, seeks to support inclusion of more women in the interactive entertainment industry. This scholarship supports women-identifying students pursuing game development or the business of interactive entertainment. 
The Academy scholarships from the previous academic year honored students from a range of disciplines, including future designers, artists and programmers. To qualify, applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.3, and be a full-time student and attend an accredited college or university in the United States during the 2017-2018 academic school year.

6. Exploring Alternative Careers for Engineers

When:     Wednesday, April 26 from 4:10 to 6:00 p.m.
Where:   Career Services, Building 124/Room 117
 
Engineering students: Have you ever thought about pursuing a career in a non-engineering role either right after you graduate or further along in your career? If so, you don’t want to miss this event!
 
Career Services will showcase a panel of four professionals who all studied engineering in college, but are now working in non-engineering roles. Come hear about these professionals’ career paths and discover additional career possibilities. We will showcase teaching, consulting, sales, and project management as alternatives, but there are endless career possibilities out there for engineers!
 
Immediately following the panel presentation, you will have the opportunity to network with these featured panelists until 6:00 p.m.:
