2. Safer Events
October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness month and Safer is striving to educate our campus as much as possible on the relevance of this topic. Their goal for this month is to reach as wide an audience on this campus as possible in order to spark motivation for taking action against this issue.

This Thursday, October 11th 11AM-12PM on Dexter Lawn, Safer is hosting a Tacos & Tie Dye pop-up in which we will reward students who complete our "Stand up to Domestic Violence" challenge with free food and a shirt to tie-dye.

Saturday, October 20th 11AM-3PM in the M.A.C. Safer is hosting a Self-Care Summit. The summit includes free self-care activities and materials, speakers from Campus Health and Well-Being and Transitions Mental Health Association, and various campus partners. Seminars include therapeutic yoga, understanding trauma and how to heal, constructing a self-care practice, and nutritional techniques to personal health. This event is a great opportunity for students and staff to unwind.
