6. Learn How to Join the Engineering Ambassadors | Info Session November 9 & 12

On November 9th and 12th, there will be information sessions on how to become an Engineering Ambassador. The Engineering Ambassadors is a club that works closely with the Engineering Dean’s office to provide lab tours of the College of Engineering. Attendees of these tours range from prospective students to alumni and VIP guests who contribute greatly to our engineering program. If you would like to join a great team which represents your college, please attend an information session on 11/9 or 11/12 in room 197-104 at 8:00 pm. The information sessions will provide you with more information on the club, the application process, and an opportunity to sign up for an interview, as well as pizza.  Applications will be made available to those who are unable to attend either meeting, but attendance will give you a better idea of what your role as an engineering ambassador will be, which will benefit you during your one-on-one discussion with an Engineering Ambassadors executive board member.

11.  Order of the Engineer Ceremony | December 11 | 4 – 6pm | Bldg 007

The Order of the Engineer is an association for graduate and professional engineers in the United States, it emphasizes pride and responsibility in the engineering profession. This is not a membership organization; there are never any meetings to attend or dues to pay. Instead, the Order fosters a unity of purpose and the honoring of one's pledge.

At the ceremony, you will take an oath in which you promise to be an ethical engineer. Then, Dean Larson will induct you with a ring and certificate. The ring is worn on your pinky finger of your dominate hand. It will make a *clink* noise when you sign your name on documents which will remind you to always be an ethical engineer.

For more information about the Order: http://www.order-of-the-engineer.org

You can register at the link below, the Engineering Dean's Office or the ESC table in front of the library.
